Nike to Completely Alter Upper of Magista Opus II

The new upper structure of the Nike Magista Opus, which will be see the 'official' light as early as in March 2017 with the release of the white and Volt Spring Nike Magista Opus 2 release, is the same used for the Nike Magista Obra.

The next-gen low-cut Nike Magista Opus boots were unveiled this sumer together with the respective high-cut variant, the Nike Magista Obra II. But while the high-cut Nike Magista Obra II soccer cleat was well received by players worldwide, the second-gen low-cut Nike Magista soccer cleat proofed to be not so popular amongst players, with Andres Iniesta already receiving a camouflaged version of the cleats. Therefore, Nike decided to completely change the upper of the low-cut control boot.

Nike to Bring Upper Structure of Magista Obra 2 to Magista Opus 2

Whereas the Nike Magista Obra II football boot introduced an all-new ball texture featuring differently sized notches, the next-generation Nike Magista Opus II football boot brought totally new grip texture, consisting of differently sized dots to the upper of the boots.

It is not known why Nike used two totally different upper structures for their high-end Magista cleats and why exactly they change the upper of the second-gen Nike Magista Opus 2 boot, but we can exclusively reveal that Nike will bring the ball texture upper structure of the Nike Magista Obra to the Nike Magista Opus.

Apart from the structure, the upper of the Nike Magista Opus II cleats continues to be made of leather-like Kangalite.

However, it is nothing totally new that Nike heavily changes their boots during the lifespan of a generation as the Swoosh famously already updated the upper of the second-gen Nike Hypervenom boot last year.

The 'all-new' Nike Magista Opus II boots will see the light as early as in March or April 2017 with the release of the white and Volt Spring colorway, while the old upper will just be used for one another release - the red colorway that will see the light in the coming weeks.
