Update #2: Joining the Portuguese national team this week, Cristiano Ronaldo has after all switched to the brand-new Nike Mercurial Superfly Floodlight Pack football boots after he still sported the Nike Elite Pack cleats last weekend (It is the first time since several years that Cristiano Ronaldo switches to Nike's Fall boots - This could mean that his new signature boots will be released later than previously expected -> November release?).

Update: Cristiano Ronaldo has in opposition to all other eleven players of Nike's Elite Squad not switched to the brand-new Floodlight Pack. The reason is, as in previous years, that Nike will launch a new CR7 signature cleat in October (Neymar switched to the Floodlight Pack Hypervenom despite the fact that he will also receive a new signature model soon, interestingly.

None other than Cristiano Ronaldo is the latest player to join Nike's new Elite Squad. Returning to Real Madrid from injury, Ronaldo laced up in the 'Pure Platinum' Nike Mercurial Superfly V boots from the pack and is set to debut them shortly.

By switching to the eye-catching Nike Mercurial Superfly V cleats from the Nike Elite Pack, Ronaldo becomes one of just eleven high-profile players to wear boots from the collection. He joins the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Raphael Varane.
The Nike Mercurial Superfly V boots from the Elite Pack combine a gradient of two greys with striking green detailing, used for the sole plate, the Swoosh outline and the trademark 'speed-rib' structure on the upper.
Still recovering from the knee injury sustained in the Euro 2016 final, Ronaldo is expected to make his debut in one of the first rounds of La Liga and will likely wear the Elite Pack boots for the occasion.
