Total Orange Nike MercurialX Proximo II Boots Leaked

The second generation of the Nike MercurialX Proximo indoor and turf football boots introduces a striking design that takes inspiration from their predecessors, the new Nike Mercurial Superfly V and running shoes. Part of Nike's FootballX-exclusive fall offering, the all-orange next-gen Nike MercurialX Proximo II soccer shoes are set to be launched in September 2016.

This image shows the striking orange second-gen Nike Mercurial X Proximo indoor shoes.

Combining three different shades of orange and red, these new Nike MercurialX Proximo II 2016-17 boots boast an incredibly bold and striking look. Just like their outdoor equivalent, the Mercurial Superfly V, the orange Nike MercurialX Proximo II football boots feature a gradient from the front to the back, in this case from a lighter to a darker orange. In line with the rest of the style, all brandings are also orange. Rounding off the design is the outsole, also completely coated in orange.

Tech-wise, the new Nike MercurialX Proximo II football boots are less similar to their on-field counterpart. Not only do they boast an extra layer of protection in the forefoot area, the heel and Dynamic Fit collar also come with a number of dissimilarities. The former sees an extra layer of NikeSkin added, while a pull tab is present at the rear of the collar.

Other than that, the second-gen Nike Mercurial X Proximo shoes are similar to the first iteration of Nike's high-top boot for the small-sided game. They have a one-piece Flyknit upper, while a thin layer of synthetic NikeSkin is added on top in order to offer more protection and to improve durability.

The sole has also been completely reworked for the all-new Nike MercurialX Proximo. A "full-length Phylon midsole with sipes for light, responsive cushioning" is used for the new Nike MercurialX Proximo II soccer boots, while the outsole was created specifically for this shoe. Somewhat reminding one of Nike's Free outsoles, it is constructed to support the natural motion of the foot by expanding and retracting upon pressure.

Set to be available for indoor / court (IN) and turf (TF) surfaces, the new Nike MercurialX Proximo II in Total Orange will be released in October, 2016. They retail at $175.
