Emre Can to Complete Nike Switch
After wearing blacked-out Nike Mercurial Superfly IV boots for the last few weeks, it looks like Emre Can's switch to the Swoosh is close to being officialized.
Taking to the Liverpool training pitch to prepare for the Liverpool v Manchester United game later today, Emre Can laced up in a pair of standard Nike Mercurial Superfly cleats from the latest Liquid Chrome collection. Can, originally signed to Adidas and sporting the X, started wearing partially blacked-out Nike Mercurial Superfly boots, in fact based on the iconic 2014 Stealth Pack version, in late 2015.
Taking a closer look at Emre Can's Nike Mercurial Superfly IV boots, they look like the standard SG-Pro version, with no further modifications made in terms of adjusting the Dynamic Fit collar or similar. The only customization visible on the training pictures appears to be some sort of signature logo on the outside of the shoe.
Emre Can had been wearing Adidas boots, first the f50 and later the X, throughout his professional career. It now looks like this chapter is over and that he will officially join Nike.
