Unreleased Nike Manchester United 15-16 Kit Revealed

Known for getting his hands on new football boots from both Adidas and Nike early, Josh from Soccer Reviews For You uploaded an incredibly interesting video to his channel yesterday. In his latest video, Josh gave us a look at the Nike Manchester United home kit for the current season, a kit that of course was never meant to be released.

According to Josh, he found the so-far-unknown Manchester United 15-16 Nike kit at a Nike outlet store, supposedly an early sample that was created before the announcement of Manchester United's record-breaking Adidas kit deal in 2014.

Nike Manchester United 15-16 Kit

This is the supposed Manchester United 2015-2016 home jersey from Nike, had the club not joined Adidas.

With lead times of up to two years, it's no surprise that Nike worked on a new Manchester United kit for the 2015-16 season, but what's perhaps even more interesting is the overall design of the shirt. Based on the style of Nike's other 2015-2016 club shirts, the unreleased Manchester United 15-16 kit features a half-and-half design.

The overall look is echoed by the leaked Adidas Manchester United 16-17 kit and is inspired by the very first jerseys worn by Manchester United's predecessor club Newton Heath.

While we don't want to accuse Adidas of copying Nike and also don't think that's what happened, the design similarities between the Adidas and Nike Manchester United kits suggest that the unprecedented half-and-half look was something the club thought of, or at least encouraged.

In line with Nike's other kits for the current season, a stripe running down the sides of the shirt and on the bottom of the sleeves in black, completes the iconic look of this unreleased Manchester United Nike kit.

What are your thoughts on Nike's 2015-16 Manchester United home kit? Is it better than the current and / or the next Adidas Manchester United jersey? Let us know in the comments below.
