Theo Walcott Shows Off New Camouflaged Adidas X Boots

Update 26/03/2016: Theo Walcott has shown off his latest camouflaged Adidas X 2016 Boots this week. And while he the last time received an Adidas X Boot that was identical to the regular edition apart from the sole plate, he this time again received his 100% camouflaged version of the cleats.

There are anything but the regular edition of the Adidas X Boots. Arsenal striker Theo Walcott has shown off his one-of-a-kind camouflaged Adidas X Boots on Instagram. And even though he previously already laced up in a similar camouflaged version of the Adidas X 15.1 Cleats, there are various details that make this boot spot utterly interesting.

Theo Walcott joined the Three Stripes in February 2015. And while he wore the Adidas F50 Adizero Boots in the first months with Adidas, he very soon switched to a camouflaged version of the Adidas X Cleats after the German brand discontinued their famous Adidas Adizero speed silo ahead of the Champions League Final in May 2015. But now let's finally take a closer look at the boots worn by the Arsenal striker.

Closer Look | Theo Walcott's Camouflaged Adidas X 15.1 Boots

Theo Walcott's one-of-a-kind black and white Adidas X Boots.

Walcott's Boots are nothing like the any regular version of the Adidas X Cleats, even though they boast the remarkable design of the brand-new black and white Adidas X 2015-2016 Boots Colorway. In fact, all elements make Theo Walcott's Boots extraordinary.

First, the upper of the camouflaged Adidas X Walcott Boots is a mixture of the Adidas F50 Adizero Boots released in late 2013 (Speedfoil material | heel area) and the synthetic version of the Adidas X 15.1 Boots (synthetic upper material | front area). To make the upper totally unique, Walcott's Boots also come without the stability X-cage in the midfoot area but just with a graphic print of the trademark element.

Second, the complete cut of the boot is also unique and has few in common with the regular edition of the Adidas X Boots, except the heel area which looks very similar to the one used for the Adidas X 15.1 Leather Boots (including the bold graphic pattern in the inner sole).

Third, the tongue of Theo Walcott's Boot is also matchlessly and nothing like the one seen on the Adidas X.

But most remarkable in the end is the contrasting white heel counter. Whereas the regular edition of the Adidas X 15.1 Boots come without an external heel counter, Theo Walcott's camouflaged cleats use the iconic sole plate of the first generation. This also includes the same external heel counter. And while the counter previously featured the same colors as the boot, it's the contrasting look that makes Theo Walcott's new boots such more eye-catching than his previous camouflaged boot colorways.
