All Adidas Players to Switch to New Primeknit Boots
It looks as if a lot more Adidas players than expected will start wearing the all-new Adidas Ace 15+ and X 15+ Primeknit Football Boots from next week. As Barcelona returned to training today, all Adidas-endorsed players apart from Lionel Messi laced up in the upcoming Bold Orange Adidas Primeknit Cleats.
Rakitic, Suárez, ter Stegen Wear Adidas Primeknit Boots in Training
Barcelona aces Ivan Rakitic, Luis Suárez, Marc-André ter Stegen and Munir El Haddadi all trained in the Adidas Primeknits today, strongly indicating that a lot more, if not all, Adidas athletes will sport the knitted boots.
Previous Adidas Primeknit drops received very little on-pitch support, with only a few players including Luis Suárez, Álvaro Morata and James Rodríguez wearing the most-recent Adidas Primeknit 2.0 Boots in last season's Champions League.
Set for quick release, the Adidas Ace 15+ and X 15+ Primeknit Soccer Boots are set to compete directly against Nike's Magista Obra and Mercurial Superfly Boots. For the new Primeknit Cleats, Adidas fuses the features of the Adidas Ace and X with the premium fit of the previous limited-edition Adidas Primeknits.
Unlike previous Primeknit releases, the upcoming orange Adidas Ace and X Boots won't be a one-off from Adidas and will instead receive constant color updates alongside the regular Adidas Ace 15.1 and X 15.1 Boots, taking over the top spot in each of the two silos.
