Mateo Kovacic laced up in a modified version of the Wolf Grey Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Boots featuring a lower Dynamic Fit collar. Apart from the cut-off Dynamic Fit collar, Kovacic's Boots are the same as the regular version of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Cleats.
Kovacic already cut off the sock of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom Boots in early August 2015, but nobody spotted his cut-off Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Boots until today's training.
Kovacic is the second Real Madrid player who cut off the trademark Dynamic Fit collar of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2 Boots after Isco already debuted a modified version of the boots in early August 2015.
Meanwhile, Toni Kroos laced up in his modified Adidas 11pro 2014 Boots, and Cristiano Ronaldo was wearing his low-cut Hyper Pink Nike Mercurial Superfly Boots.
It may be no coincidence that as many high-profile players cut off the iconic sock of the Nike Hypervenom 2 Boots. Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
