Japan extends Adidas Kit Deal
The Japan Football Association has agreed a new long-term contract with Adidas, which will see the German giant kit out Japan National Football Teams. Adidas has been the official Japan National Team Kit Supplier since 1999, while the new Adidas Japan FA Jersey Deal will start in January 2015.
Japan FA extends Adidas Kit Until 2022
Adidas has agreed in principle with the Japan Football Association that they will be the Japan National Football Team Supplier for eight years from January 2015.
"As the president of Adidas Japan K.K.," said Paul Hardisty, "I am very pleased that we forged a partnership with the Japan Football Association, which will mark another step forward for Japanese football. Our partnership with JFA has been continuing for a long term and it’s very special for us. It started in the 1960s and we became their official supplier in 1999."
The new Japan Adidas Kit Deal includes the kits for the Samurai Blue (Mens Japan National Football Team) as well as the football shirts for the Japan Women's National Team.
The new contract with the Japan FA allows Adidas to produce Japan Kits for the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. No financial details were announced yet.
