Mainz to sign Lotto Kit Deal

German Bundesliga club FSV Mainz 05 will announce a new kit deal with Lotto Sports Italia soon, according to German sport business magazine SPONSORs. The new Mainz 05 Lotto Kit Deal will start from the 2015-16 season, replacing current shirt supplier Nike.

FSV Mainz 05 will be the second Bundesliga team sponsored by the Italian brand Lotto, after Lotto already signed with Hoffenheim one year ago.

Lotto had already made Mainz 05 Kits some years ago.

In 2008, Nike and Mainz 05 signed a long term partnership to supply the Mainz Jerseys at least until 2015 replacing previous shirt supplier Lotto. German newspaper SPONSORs reports that Nike will not renew the contract with FSV Mainz 05.

Lotto had been the Mainz 05 Shirt supplier from 2001 until 2008. Lotto is known for creating unique Mainz 05 Kits, while Nike's FSV Mainz 05 Jerseys are based on simple Nike Teamwear templates.

According to media reports, German 2. Bundesliga team Union Berlin, currently sponsored by Uhlsport, will switch to Macron from the upcoming season. 1860 München will also change the shirt supplier, after the contract with Uhlsport was not renewed.
