Nike Mercurial X Proximo 2016 Safari Boots Released

The Nike Mercurial X Proximo 2016 Safari Soccer Shoes introduce a reflective Safari graphic print to Nike's cutting-edge indoor, street and turf speed football boot, officially released on 18 December 2015.

Launched in June 2015 ahead of the 2015 UEFA Champions League Final, the Nike Mercurial X Proximo Boots are the small-sided version of the Nike Mercurial Superfly Cleats. Merging a Dynamic Fit collar with a knitted upper and Nike Flywire strings in the midfoot area, the Nike Mercurial X Proximo Soccer Shoes are made for ultimate speed and lockdown.

Nike Mercurial X Proximo 'Safari' Black / Anthracite / Bright Mango

This is the first Nike Mercurial X Proximo 2016 Boots Colorway.

Combining the understated main colors black and dark grey, the Nike Mercurial X Proximo 2016 Soccer Boot comes with a subtle graphic all-over print, which is also used for the white and black Nike Hypervenom X Proximo 2016 'Safari Edition' (but in a much bolder way). To break up the dull look of the boots, Nike combines the classic main colors with 'Bright Mango' for the outline of the Swoosh and the midsole.

In fact, the Bright Mango details seen on the Nike Mercurial X Proximo Safari Indoor, Turf and Street Soccer Shoes are used as main color for the first 2016 paint job of the Nike Mercurial Superfly Cleats. However, the Nike MercurialX Safari Boots are an exclusive release for small-sided games, and the Bright Mango colorway will only be available as outdoor version.

Tech-wise, the Nike Mercurial X Safari Proximo Boots come with the same features as the previous paint job. Weighing in at 8.0 oz (227 gram), the Nike Mercurial X 2016 'Safari' Boots comes with the same upper features as the cleated version of the boots, while the boots feature some extra upper material for increased durability where it's needed most in small-sided football.

The Nike Mercurial X Safari 2016 Football Shoes retail at the same price as all previous editions of the boots (150 Euro, 150 USD, 120 GBP) and will be available as IC (Indoor Court, Street) and TF (Artificial Grass) outsole versions from 21 December 2015.
