Hakan Calhanoglu To Debut Adidas Adizero 99g Boots
Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is set to make history wearing the lightest ever football boot in an official match. The white / black /red Adidas Adizero 99 gram Soccer Cleat is the first ever soccer cleat to weight less than 100g and was officially released on Monday.
Update 19/04/15: Hakan Calhanoglu has made history in Bayer Leverkusen's dominant 4-0 victory over Hannover 96 on Saturday as first player to wear a boot weighing in at less than 100 gram.
Adidas today revealed that Hakan Çalhanoğlu will wear the revolutionary Adidas 99g Football Boots in Saturday's Bundesliga match against Hannover 96.

After Adidas already has proven that they are able to produce the 99g Football Boot, the German brand now shows that the Adidas 99 gram is ready to be worn on the biggest stage.
While the Adidas Adizero Crazylight 2014 Boots (135 gram) were worn by Gareth Bale and James Rodríguez, it is now Bayer Leverkusen free-kick master Hakan Calhanoglu who debuts the Adidas Adizero 99g Cleat. It's not known yet if other high-profile players will wear the Adidas 99g Boots.
Part of the Adidas Football 2015 Limited Collection Boots Pack, the Adidas Adizero 99 gram Cleat is the first product to launch under the umbrella of the Adidas Limited Collection. On April 20, Adidas will also launch a limited edition Adidas Primeknit 2.0 Soccer Boot, while it's also expected that Adidas will release the first-ever Full Sock Boot.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen are currently fourth place in the league two points behind Gladbach. Bayer Leverkusen will try to gain direct promotion to the 2015-16 Champions League Group Stage in the six remaining fixtures.
The only question that remains if Hakan Çalhanoğlu regularly wears size 9 US (EUR 42 2/3 - only size of the Adidas Adizero 99g Boot) or if Adidas produced a customized version of the white / black Adidas Adizero 99g boot for Hakan Calhanoglu.
